The EXDC1 is a heavy-duty cable that has a regular 4-pin XLR power connector on one end and Sony's non-standard EX1 power connector on the other end. Now you can power your the PMW-EX1 or PMW-EX3 camcorders with any professional 12v battery or AC adapter that you already own. It also works with the PMW-EX30, the SBAC-US10, and even the PDW-U1 XDCAM HD optical disk drive for complete mobile editing without any AC power.

Note: The power source you use must meet the required specifications for the camera or drive. The EXDC1 is sold as a “stand alone” product and is simply a “pass through” that meets the polarity standards of the Sony XDCAM EX cameras when used with industry standard 4 Pin XLR power configurations.
